Ukraine: Meat Sector Review
While the Ukrainian meat production has increased by 39 % in terms of volume from 2005 to 2010, the meat market still faces various sector constraints. Under the FAO/EBRD Cooperation this review has been published providing an in-depth analysis of the country’s meat sector and gives recommendations for future national policies. The publication is intended for potential investors and policymakers to understand the limitations and growth potential of the sector. It concludes with recommendations to the Ukrainian government, a better enforcement of environmental and food safety regulations, and a better integration of the meat supply chain.
