DESCRIPTION
Precision farming makes use of the most advanced technologies to boost efficiency and reconcile productivity with sustainability in agriculture. Prepared by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development this informative session explores the impressive landscape of precision farming technologies and investigates the real opportunities precision farming can offer.

“With the help of precision technologies, for example auto piloting, variable chemical inputs, raw sensors on our sprayers and section control on sprayers and seeders we safe around 50$ per each hectare thanks to the right management of inputs. On the other side we increase our yields and also we earn 50$ more with the yields. Totally we have the positive effect from precision farming of more then 100 $ per hectare”

“We partnered with SwissRe looking at how do we make more efficient their loss adjustment process. For 2 years, we collected 5 thousand samples per year in Ukraine and we were able to demonstrate that we could explain over 70% of variability in yields at field scale.
